Delivery Requirements

Delivery Charges & Fees:

The standard delivery fee is $4 per loaded mile, this price is subject to change depending upon the delivery location. Deliveries are loaded the day prior to your assigned delivery to get our trucks out in a timely manner the following morning. There is a $50 charge for all deliveries that are canceled or rescheduled  after 2pm the day prior to the delivery to cover loading and unloading expenses, and the time that is taken away from other material being loaded. There will be a $100 charge if the delivery is canceled the same day of delivery. Any other arrangements will be at the owner’s discretion.

There will be an additional delivery charge if more than one delivery truck is needed to make the delivery.

Any balances on the invoice must be paid for before the material can be unloaded from the truck. If you are paying with a check, we prefer a cashiers check from your bank institution. Cash on delivery is accepted, however, it will be counted by both parties, the customer and the driver. You can also call the day of delivery and pay over the phone using a credit card. There is a 3% processing fee using a credit card. Any other accommodations will be at the owner’s approval.

Please plan accordingly with our office staff prior to your assigned delivery on obtaining your final balance.

Delivery Details:

We offer a diverse fleet of trucks and trailers to accommodate your delivery and directly to your job site. It is the customers responsibility to let us know of any restrictions to accessing their property. Whether it be by a four-wheel drive or two- wheel drive truck and the length of trailer (if there’s any restrictions). Please note that we are not responsible for any property damage.

R&R Ironworks schedules deliveries Monday through Friday (8 am to 3pm), based on availability. The schedule can fill up fast so please schedule accordingly. Any accommodations will be approved by the owner.

Safety & Restrictions:

Please have the delivery site cleared for our driver to access the site for off loading of materials. Our drivers have the right to refuse unloading of materials if the area is not safe for our truck and trailer. If for any reason this occurs, the delivery fee will still apply. If the delivery is rescheduled for a later date, there will be an additional delivery charge.

For the safety of our drivers, they do not unload any materials. This is strictly the customer’s responsibility to have the correct equipment to unload all material.

Damages, Shortages, Returns:

Please inspect your delivery shipment at its arrival before it is unloaded. By accepting the material, you are accepting the material in its current condition. R&R Ironworks should be notified at the time of delivery of any missing or damaged material.  R&R is not responsible for any credits being issued without the owner’s approval.

Any items later returned by the customer must be accompanied by the sales invoice and may incur a 25% return charge.

Scheduling:

We try to allow for sufficient driving and unloading time for each delivery, however things happen that are out of our control. If for any reason our driver is delayed to your job site for delivery, due to a previous delivery or traffic conditions, and is going to be more than 30 minutes late arriving at the job site, the driver or a sales representative from the office will notify you. If we are unable to reach you we will leave a voicemail.

The customer needs to be at the delivery site at the scheduled delivery time and ready to receive all material. Should you let your installer/contractor handle the off load of all materials, this is to be relayed to the office of R&R and the customer is still responsible for having their final payment at delivery.

The driver or sales representative will attempt to call the customer if not present on the job site at the allotted time. The driver is allowed to wait 30 minutes before he leaves the job site.

*Be sure to call in a timely manner and speak with a sales representative at the office to make any changes in items delivered, delivery times, or addresses.*

Rescheduling:

If you need to reschedule a delivery, please call the office and ask to speak with one of the sales representatives.

Delivery/ Pickup Options:

Tier 1: Customers may opt for pickup using a flatbed trailer, which must be capable of carrying the weight of the building kit and materials.
